Glenrothes FC are a current member of the East of Scotland Football League playing in the 1st division conference B. The Club was formed in 1964 and were a successful junior side for over fifty year and winning over fifty leagues and cups in that time. In 2019 the club successfully applied to join the East of Scotland Football association and started playing in season 2019/20. Although the club has left the juniors behind, the club remains immensely proud of our history and look forward to making more in the years to come.
Glenrothes Juniors were one of the most successful junior sides in Fife, winning the Scottish Junior cup in 1974/75, runners up in 1967/68 and making three other semi-finals. On the local front, the Glens won the Fife League eleven times, Fife Junior cup twelve times and Cowdenbeath Cup seven times. The club also won the Fife & Lothians Cup once and whilst also reaching the final five further times. In addition to winning the major competitions the club had continued success wining twenty further trophies.
Although the club has faced significant challenges over the last few, the Clubs move to the East of Scotland will give the club the focus necessary to rebuild the club back into a powerhouse on and off the pitch.
