The Glens got off to the best start possible in the first minute a poor passback from Hogarth fell short of Easton and C. Schiavone capitalised on the mistake to fire home. The Glens had settled down the better of the two teams and an effort from Lane had Easton scrambling across his goal to turn the ball round the post, from the corner kick Kinnes headed over. Then on fifteen minutes the home sides defence stood up well to a free kick from Denton. On twenty minutes the home side won three consecutive corner kicks without causing any danger. Easton had to look sharp to save a effort from C. Schiavone. An effort from Dyett was saved by The Glens trialist keeper. L. Schiavone found himself in acres of space on the left wing only to overhit his cross. A cross fom Lane was just missed at the far post by Russell. On a rare attack from the home side a effort from Anderson sailed over the crossbar. Next up a run and cross from Kinnes was pulled out of the air by Easton. a long ball out of defence had C. Schiavone straying offside. The home sides no2 (Devlin) found himself in a excellent position only to hit a poor cross, another run and cross from Kinnes saw his effort go over the bar. Devlin had a chance to get his side back into the game right on half time but headed wide of the target.

Schiavone had to look sharp to look sharp to clear a dangerous situation. On sixty five minutes the home side got themselves back into the game when a corner kick was mis-judged by the trialist keeper and allowed Gribben to head home. From another corner The Glens defence did well to clear, the game was now getting stretched with both sides creating chances. a effert from Watt just missed the target. The Glens conceded another foul this time twenty yards from goal but again it was well defended. Then a shot from Dyett was cleared off the line by Kinnes. On seventy seven minutes Glens got the goal they were looking for with an excellent move that started on the half way line with some fine passing between two or three players and finished off with a excellent touch from Watt. Calderwood then replaced Powrie. Kinnes came to the rescue again by once again clearing a effort off the line. a cross come shot from Horsburgh struck the post. Another run and cross from C. Schiavone found no one on the end of it, this was to be his last touch and replaced by Hynd. The Glens finished the stronger and created two or three chances before the end of the game which came to nothing.
